Will resizing blur my image?

Making an image smaller is safe and usually looks sharper at that size, because we resample with Lanczos. Making one much larger cannot invent detail that was never captured, so it will soften.

What does the aspect-ratio lock do?

With it on, giving one side is enough — the other follows so the picture keeps its shape. Turn it off to stretch an image to exactly the width and height you type.

Do animated GIFs survive?

Yes. Every frame is resized and the timing is preserved, so the animation plays exactly as it did before.
