No. The model runs on the same server that received the file, so the photo never leaves this system. Like every other tool here, the upload and the result are deleted two hours later.

Is the output really transparent?

Yes — a PNG with a genuine alpha channel, not a white rectangle. You can drop it straight onto a coloured slide or another photo and the background will not be there.

Does it shrink my photo?

No. The model works at a fixed small size internally, but only the mask is scaled back up. The pixels you get are the pixels you sent, at full resolution.

What if the photo has no clear subject?

A landscape or a pattern has nothing for the model to isolate. Rather than hand you a blank image, it returns the picture intact — you have lost nothing but the time it took.

How well does it handle hair and fur?

Reasonably, not perfectly. The edge is soft rather than cut with scissors, which helps, but fine strands against a busy background are the hardest case there is and you should expect to touch some of them up.
